About Your Next Challenge as Lead, Industrial Security

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead industrial security functions and support the company's compliance with various regulations. As the Industrial Security Lead, you will be responsible for daily security operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, information security, document control, badging, and access control.

The position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of comprehensive knowledge in the discipline of Industrial Security. You will develop, strategize, and manage internal security program policies, working independently without direct supervision and collaboratively as a team player. This fast-paced environment demands flexibility, prioritization, and effective management of customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clear guidance and assistance on security-related matters to company personnel and employees.
  • Support the company's compliance with the Canadian Industrial Security Program, Contract Security Program, Controlled Goods Program, and ITAR.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate security policies, including physical and intangible security requirements.
  • Manage data management to comply with government, corporate, and customer contract security requirements.
  • Implement and maintain access controls and camera systems, ensuring employee and visitor compliance with security requirements.
  • Develop and enforce general and site-specific security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Act as the business unit's Insider Threat Program Senior Official and Site Security representative for Counter Intelligence functions.
  • Oversee travel security aspects, including personal protection plans, IT assets compliance, and approval for high-risk countries.
  • Coordinate requirements and policies with L3Harris Corporate Security, IT, Global Trade Compliance.
  • Provide required training for employees regarding security matters.
  • Develop and administer Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and emergency response plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years in Security with relevant exposure to Controlled Goods, Export Control, and Industrial Security.
  • NATO Secret-level Industrial Security Clearance eligibility.
  • Experience with Risk Assessment and Security Investigation.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
  • Counter cyber espionage experience is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of ITP planning, including CI incident response strategy implementation.
  • Experience serving on Insider Threat Working Group and working closely with SMO and other ITP stakeholders.
  • Implementing and enforcing central management in access control systems such as SIMS.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills and understanding of Cloud technology.
Additional Requirements:
  • Sound communication skills to articulate with all levels of employees and Government officials on security matters.
  • Effective trainer with excellent administration and organizational skills.
  • Regular travel to Ottawa, with potential domestic and international travel.
  • Eligibility for government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance.
