The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation
The Teaching and Learning Centre of Innovation (TLCI) at Olds College serves students, faculty, and staff in various areas, including Accessibility Services, Learning Commons, Educational Development, and more. Our goal is to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Opportunity - Contract Tutor, Animal Health programs
We are seeking a contract tutor to support Olds College students in the Animal Health programs. The successful candidate will work in the Learning Commons, providing one-on-one and small group support to students. Preference will be given to those with familiarity with Olds College Animal Health programming.
The ideal candidate will possess RVT certification and tutoring/teaching experience. Strong interpersonal skills, time management skills, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally are essential. The candidate must be an effective communicator and comfortable working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate student learning in one-on-one and small group settings
- Record and report data as assigned
- Communicate and collaborate with instructors as needed
Requirements
- RVT certification
- Tutoring/teaching experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
