Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our Tailings Engineering team at Teck Resources Limited. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to tailings management, geotechnical engineering, and mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and implementation of tailings management plans and procedures.
  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses to support tailings design and operations.
  • Collaborate with site teams and consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Support the implementation of standard processes for governance requirements.
  • Coordinate activities and information sharing with various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Working towards a degree or equivalent experience in Geological, Geotechnical, Civil or Mining Engineering.
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a multifaceted work environment with a willingness to work outdoors and operate vehicles at our sites.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
