Co-op Opportunity in Tailings Engineering

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented co-op student to join our team in Tailings Engineering. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to tailings management, geotechnical engineering, and mining operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the monitoring and management of tailings storage facilities and dams
  • Provide geotechnical support to the corporate tailings team and site teams
  • Support the implementation of standard processes for governance requirements
  • Coordinate activities and information sharing with consultants, site teams, and other Teck corporate groups

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a degree or equivalent experience in Geological, Geotechnical, Civil, or Mining Engineering
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
