Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at State & Main Kitchen + Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to order, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to our strict food safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with our culinary team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a busy kitchen environment.
