Physical Disability Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities by promoting autonomy and facilitating participation in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities of individuals with physical disabilities.
- Identify specific obstacles to independence and participation in daily activities.
- Develop personalized intervention plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Prioritize areas of intervention to improve quality of life and autonomy.
- Recommend environmental modifications to maximize accessibility, safety, and independence.
- Provide education on adaptive techniques and strategies to overcome physical limitations.
- Design exercise programs to improve mobility, strength, and physical function.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education and support to family members and caregivers on how to best support individuals with physical disabilities.
- Evaluate and adjust intervention plans regularly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of evaluations, intervention plans, and interventions.
