Wind Turbine Maintenance Specialist

Are you looking for a challenging role in the renewable energy sector? We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at Nordex Group in Saskatchewan, Canada.
About the Role:
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety and maintenance standards at our wind farm sites. You will work closely with our site teams to identify and resolve technical issues, perform routine maintenance tasks, and ensure all activities are documented accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of wind turbine generators and related equipment
- Conducting safety analyses and risk assessments
- SUPPORTS Root Cause Analyses to determine equipment failure
- Completing required documentation and maintaining records
- Performing preventative maintenance activities safely and efficiently
- Utilizing appropriate safety gear and equipment
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Meeting training certification requirements
- Participating in on-call schedules and overtime as needed
Requirements:
- H.S. diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2+ years of experience in wind industry
- Able to travel for extended periods and work rotating shifts
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 23kg (50 pounds) and climb vertical ladders
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- Ability to obtain certifications for medium and high voltage equipment
- Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits
- Pass a pre-employment physical exam
- Valid driver's license and insurable under our auto insurance policy
