About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team at Kingsview Renovation, Flooring & Staircase Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating computerized and manual woodworking machines to fabricate and repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate and repair wooden parts.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products, including gluing pieces of wood together or pressing and affixing wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Maintenance and Quality Control: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, and replace parts as required to ensure optimal machine performance and product quality.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate a variety of woodworking machines, including computerized woodworking machines, drills, gluing machines, planers, routers, sanders, and saws.
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machines: Use CNC machines to fabricate wood products with precision and accuracy.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Site Environment: The work site is noisy, and you will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule is 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in woodworking or a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
