About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards for all maintenance operations.

  • Provide leadership, technical support, and coaching to trade personnel and peers while developing and maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel to plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and capital work as we transition from project construction into daily operation activities.
  • Utilize the Maintenance & Supply Chain Best Practices in conjunction with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PM's, and updating the equipment database.
Your Challenges

You will face various challenges in this role, including:

  • Ensuring compliance to internal and external policies, procedures, and regulations with respect to the Health and Safety of the maintenance employees and site contractors.
  • Managing and controlling expenditures in accordance with the operating budget of the department.
  • Verifying the availability of parts, materials, and special tools required for execution.
Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technologist certification or related industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of equivalent experience in maintenance leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated progression in leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, communicate with all levels of the organization, and adapt quickly to change.
