We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in responding to medical emergencies and providing essential care to those in need.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients
- Work collaboratively with dispatchers and other emergency responders to ensure effective response to emergencies
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical techniques and protocols
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
- CMA accredited Pre-hospital Care Program-EMR
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
- Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
