Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in responding to medical emergencies and providing essential care to those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients
  • Work collaboratively with dispatchers and other emergency responders to ensure effective response to emergencies
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest medical techniques and protocols
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
  • Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
  • CMA accredited Pre-hospital Care Program-EMR
Competencies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Other Information
  • HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
  • Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
  • Clean Driver's Abstract
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
