About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C.

Job Summary

This is a relief full-time opportunity in Microbiology, working rotating day and evening shifts. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will perform a variety of duties within the assigned discipline department, including routine and complex tests, data entry, and instrument maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory tests and procedures, utilizing manual and automated instruments
  • Enter data into the Lab Information System and related systems
  • Validate and report test results
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Participate in training and evaluation programs

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is a 75-bed acute care site in the Kootenay Boundary health service area, providing core medical and surgical specialty services.

Located in Trail, between Grand Forks and Nelson, KBRH offers a range of services, including emergency and trauma care, laboratory services, and obstetrical care.
