Job Title: SOX Compliance Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SOX Compliance Manager to join our team at QNX Software Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including identifying and mitigating risks, developing and implementing controls, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's business processes and enabling technologies to identify and assess SOX risks.
- Design and implement effective controls to mitigate identified risks, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including control owners and external audit teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and external auditors.
- Facilitate internal training and awareness programs to ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining SOX compliance.
- Work with external auditors to plan and execute on an expanding reliance testing program.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry experience, with a strong background in SOX compliance.
- BS/BA or MS/MA in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) / Bill198 (CSOX), and business and system process best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge the status quo.
- Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative.
