About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team at MJ Thorpe Restaurants Ltd. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Table Service: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Inventory Management: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Food Preparation: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Cash Handling: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers' orders.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, restaurant, fast food.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Deep fryer, electronic cash register, grill.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, public transportation available.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
