**Job Title:** Technical Director, Healthcare Project Lead
**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to join our team at Moving2Canada, a leading Canadian general contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical oversight of our healthcare projects, ensuring compliance with design and build contracts, and managing large-scale building and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:- **Plan and Mobilize Project Teams:** Lead technical oversight of project teams, including design management, methods, temporary works, and BIM.
- **Manage Budget and Staff:** Oversee budget for project technical department, manage staff and consultants (architects, engineers, specialty consultants).
- **Verify and Validate Technical Management Plans:** Ensure technical management plans are correctly applied, verify and validate design, methods & temporary works, and BIM.
- **Participate in Major Technical Reviews:** Oversee technical risks management, report on project risk register as needed.
- **Supervise Technical Studies:** Ensure compliance and promote optimization and efficient solutions for methods, permanent and temporary works.
- **Manage Design Changes:** Align design changes with project requirements and commercial aspects.
- **Review and Validate Design Schedule:** Ensure compliance with overall design schedule and deliverables, aligned with project timeline and milestones.
- **Establish Information Systems:** Assist in establishing information systems and selecting software/tools for technical management.
- **Produce Progress Reports:** Produce regular progress reports on schedule, cost, and performance indicators for technical management.
- **Support Procurement Team:** Support procurement team in defining technical aspects of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- **Bachelor's Degree:** Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering or equivalent work experience.
- **Professional Experience:** Over 15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in technical management on major, complex, and multidisciplinary projects.
- **Experience in Healthcare Sector:** Experience on building projects (especially in the healthcare sector) using design-build, PPP or other alternative modes that include design.
- **Ability to Travel:** Ability to travel to remote locations.
- **Salary:** $170,000+ plus $50,000 annual bonus.
