Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Materials Analyst to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As an Industrial Materials Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of industrial materials, including procurement, inventory control, and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and understand industrial material requirements, ensuring proper materials are received in accordance with plant requirements.
  • Utilize CPARS and Aurora systems to order, release, control, and dispose of non-production materials, including non-standard items and special orders.
  • Maintain working relationships with Central Analysts and Purchasing to identify suppliers and sources of material, and carry out actions necessary to obtain these materials.
  • Consult with engineering and technical personnel to overcome design or rework problems, and act as a liaison with commodity suppliers to resolve concerns.
  • Process 1296's to delete items in CPARS as required, and review and follow-up on weekly open order reports.
  • Assist in managing commodity management suppliers, and support obsolescence program requirements.
  • Liaise with central analysts as needed for emergency requests from the floor, and follow up on delivery of CA orders at the PO level.
  • Issue spot buys, follow up on orders, return materials if required, and enter receipts as needed.
  • Support industrial materials preparation for MCRP audit, and perform additional duties as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity to successfully control materials on own initiative, and comprehensive knowledge of tools and tooling utilized in the plant.
  • Initiative, maturity, job knowledge, and judgment required to train and coordinate the efforts of other analysts and stock control personnel.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook.
Preferred Requirements

University degree in a business-related field, and qualifications as an Inventory Control and Follow-Up Analyst. CPARS experience is also an asset.
