Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Planner to join our team at Motor Coach Industries. As a Process Planner, you will play a critical role in maintaining and creating production routings and bills of material from engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders and Notices (ECO, ECN), and Engineering Authorized Deviations (EAD) to ensure accurate production planning.
  • Create production routings with estimated labor times for fabricated parts, assemblies, and installations.
  • Calculate raw material usage for new fabricated parts and update production routings of component parts and subassemblies.
  • Provide new design and contract support, including CFA level routings, bill split and reconciliation, structure kit routings, and install hours reconciliation.
  • Load and revise standard estimating data to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Complete and maintain manufacturing bills for sales releases and create drawing packages for the shop floor.
  • Interpret and complete Planning Change Requests (PCR) and communicate with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory control, purchasing, and production control planning to ensure implementation of engineering changes.
  • Provide bid and sales release customer request (SRCR) labor estimates as requested and participate in process improvement projects.
  • Assist in resolving MRP processing errors and attend virtual reviews as required.
  • Support manufacturing engineering and production engineering, as well as other related process planning tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in engineering or technology or equivalent manufacturing process planning experience.
  • APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience in labor and materials planning in an MRO environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
