Job Description:

The Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide primary care services, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing comprehensive primary care services to residents, adhering to established policies and scope of practice
  2. Collaborating with the medical team to ensure seamless care delivery
  3. Consulting with residents, families, and healthcare professionals on various aspects of care
  4. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and professional nursing practices
  5. Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns or issues related to resident care

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse in the Extended Class or RN (EC)
  • Demonstrated experience in gerontology and primary health care in Long Term Care settings
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in assessment, diagnosis, and health care management
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from the Canadian Nurses Association

Salary Range:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
