Job Title: Deductions Intern

McCain Foods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deductions Intern to join our North America Finance team. As a Deductions Intern, you will play a critical role in analyzing and resolving customer payments and deductions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and process payment and deduction claims, ensuring compliance with departmental processes, systems, and audit requirements.
  • Manage the invalid deduction process from start to finish, including escalation to Commercial Finance, Control, and Field Sales when necessary.
  • Research and analyze current and historical financial data for account reconciliations, identifying trends and determining root cause analysis to drive issue resolution.
  • Effectively prioritize workload by balancing payments, deductions, and invalid claim rebills.
  • Holistically research, analyze, and resolve all open transactions, including customer overpayments and account credits and debits for assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of deductions and payments.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Result-oriented, hands-on, highly motivated, and autonomous with the ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
