IT Systems Administrator Role with Fed IT

We are currently looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our client's team. This is a permanent, hybrid position based on the South Shore of Montreal.

The estimated salary for this role is $95,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location. Your duties will include:

  • Analyzing, investigating, and resolving small and large-scale technical problems
  • Maintaining and managing servers (Lenovo, Microsoft)
  • Managing the virtual environment (VMware and Nutanix)
  • Configuring and managing server virtualization to optimize hardware resource utilization and ensure high availability
  • Managing access requests for various network drives, ensuring compliance with company security standards
  • Participating in training and mentoring team members on systems-related technologies and processes
  • Deploying updates, patches, and new software installations via SCCM to ensure system security and performance
  • Monitoring and analyzing system performance to detect and resolve problems and optimize resource utilization
  • Managing cloud licenses (allocation, tracking, and recovery) to optimize costs and compliance

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5 years' experience as a network and systems administrator
  • Significant experience in configuring, operating, maintaining, and monitoring network, server, and storage equipment of various brands
  • Significant experience in installing, configuring, and managing VMware and Hyper-V environments
  • Proficiency in Windows environments
  • Knowledge of Nutanix is an asset
  • Bilingual, French and English (pan-Canadian company with English-speaking employees)
