Mainline Construction is seeking a skilled Grading Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a crew and equipment to complete civil, residential, or oilfield grading projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Supervision: Supervise work at assigned jobsites, conduct daily field safety and environmental inspections, and maintain records and reporting.
  • Material Management: Verify accuracy of bills of lading, notify supervisors of discrepancies, and ensure materials are available to maintain a steady workflow.
  • Employee Relations: Maintain good employee relations, ensure training requirements are met, and optimize resources through proper planning and coordination.
  • Documentation: Review, complete, and correct all required documentation, including daily timesheets, tailgate meetings, and incident reporting.
  • Leadership: Encourage high-quality service, lead by example, and apply company performance standards (QA/QC) requirements.
  • Performance Management: Ensure team members are aware of duties and responsibilities, hold them accountable, and provide feedback, recognition, and opportunities for development.
  • Job Management: Monitor weather conditions, adjust schedules, direct crew mobilization and demobilization, and ensure "work alone" protocol is followed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of civil or oilfield grading experience.
  • High school education or extensive experience.
  • Valid Class 5 AB driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Workers Compensation Board (WCB) Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills is considered an asset.
