About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at GG Ice Centre Ltd as a Zamboni Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the ice surface is maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ice Surface Maintenance: Operate Zamboni equipment to clean, smooth, and prepare ice surfaces for games and events.
  • Snow Quality Control: Determine the quality of snow and take necessary actions to ensure optimal ice conditions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain Zamboni equipment to detect wear and damage, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean and maintain recreational facilities and grounds, including arenas and surrounding areas.
  • Operational Support: Assist with snow making operations, shut down snow making plants, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
Work Environment

As a Zamboni Driver, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks, and may be exposed to cold temperatures.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
