Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Visual Information Products Inc.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to identify areas for improvement within our IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Develop and maintain computer databases to store and manage large datasets
  • Document reporting needs, queries, logic, results, and recommendations to other information systems professionals
  • Liaise with staff on data requirements, collection, and availability
  • Test data models and database management systems to ensure data quality and integrity
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of data analysis concepts and techniques, including statistical modeling and data visualization
  • Experience with database management systems, including design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools

Location

This role is located in our office in Canada, and we require the successful candidate to be legally able to work in the country.
