Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our team at San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications, including researching, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.
  • Collaboration: Assist junior engineers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications.
  • Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile functions, including Daily Scrums, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Technical Expertise: Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. Liaise with network administrators, database administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing software and web applications and sites. Review and recommend improvements for monitoring software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Technical Skills: Working technical knowledge of programming languages, including C#, C++, VB, or similar languages. Experience working with enterprise applications, including SharePoint, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Git. Hands-on experience working in integrated development environments, including Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, MySQL Workbench.
  • Operating Systems: Extensive experience with Windows 7+, Windows Server 2008R2+ operating systems.
  • Databases: Extensive experience with MSSQL, MySQL database.
  • Internet Technologies: Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including IIS, SSL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, jQuery, AngularJs, Bootstrap, MS MVC, SOAP, REST, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Problem-Solving: Hands-on software troubleshooting/problem determination experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the Casino Gaming Industry preferred, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Software development certification such as MCSD: Web Applications, MCSD: SharePoint Applications, CSSLP, or CSDP are preferred.
