Software Application Engineer

Position Overview:

As a Software Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that align with the performance, availability, and quality standards expected by our clients. Your role will require adaptability in software design approaches, a strong commitment to excellence, and a collaborative mindset.

You will engage in comprehensive development projects, including both full-stack and workflow initiatives utilizing K2's low-code platform. Your ability to manage multiple project priorities while maintaining organization is crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support, and enhance customer-oriented software applications employing Agile methodologies.
  • Adhere to best practices for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and team members to gather business requirements that inform the analysis and design of effective technical solutions.
  • Deliver innovative solutions to meet business challenges.
  • Implement best practices in version control, source code management, and configuration management.
  • Integrate applications and facilitate data migrations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, partners, and management, including conducting technical walkthroughs and providing project status updates.
  • Create precise and clear documentation, including design specifications, configuration details, and installation guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional experience as a developer:
    • Junior: 1-3 years of experience
    • Mid-level: 3-7 years of experience
    • Senior: 7+ years of experience
  • Development experience must include at least three of the following technologies:
    • K2 blackpearl, K2 SmartForms, .NET framework (C#, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Ajax, MVC, SQL Server, ASP.Net, CSS, HTML5, Visual Studio, XML, SQL, SSRS, SharePoint, Azure, Amazon Web Services)
  • Experience with Agile software development and/or hybrid waterfall/Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting software within a Windows/.NET environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors to escalate and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions with clients to assess current processes, identify needs and challenges, and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Relevant certifications in the technologies mentioned above.
