Oncology Care Coordinator LPN

**About This Opportunity**
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient-focused inpatient team at the Cross Cancer Centre (CCI). As an integral member of our interprofessional healthcare team, you will utilize advanced competency skills to provide high-quality care to oncology and hematology patients.
**Job Summary**
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering treatment modalities, including central line care and access, as well as providing care for patients with various needs. You will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of client care plans.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
In addition, you should have:
- One year of acute care experience and/or training within the past 2 years
- Experience caring for oncology/hematology patients
- Experience in administering systemic treatment
- Experience working with elements of CoAct and collaborative care
- Experience with administering blood products and derivatives, and wound care
**Competencies and Abilities**
You must possess strong clinical thinking skills, an ability to prioritize competing demands, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Proficient written and verbal communication skills are essential for safe patient/family care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
