About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer- Estate Planning, Admin and Litigation to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal services in matters involving estates and trusts, disputes over wills, trust administration, and fiduciary obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and advise clients on legal matters related to estates, trusts, probate, and related litigation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to estates and trusts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, administrators, and other relevant parties.
  • Draft high-quality legal pleadings, memoranda, and other documents required for litigation proceedings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in estate, trust, and probate laws to ensure clients receive current legal advice.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor or LLB degree and licensed to practice law in British Columbia with good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
  • Proven experience in estates litigation, including knowledge of trusts, probate, and wills law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Portable book of business.
  • Experience of 5+ years plus.
