Job Title: Counter / Inside Salesperson

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter / Inside Salesperson to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales support to our customers, answering their questions, and helping them find the products they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide world-class sales support to customers, including answering questions, entering and picking orders, and following up on backorders.
  • Research products for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of products.
  • Drive sales growth through ownership of counter merchandising, product promotion, and generating leads for the Outside Account Management team.
  • Enter, pick, and pack sales orders generated at the counter.
  • Inform the buyer when stock levels are low.
  • Process returns and warranty claims to customers, including paperwork in compliance with all procedures.
  • Navigate and find solutions for customer concerns and complaints.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • Experience with customer service or counter sales an asset.
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of HVAC/R and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Ability to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customers.
  • Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
