About the Role

Rothewood Academy Richmond Garden City is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education program, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that align with our institution's goals and objectives.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest to foster their curiosity and love for learning.
  • Engage children in activities that promote their emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants to ensure a smooth operation of the program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with children in a group setting.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
