We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Mafna Air Technologies Inc. as a Product Development Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with product development from concept to production.

Job Description:

  • Draft detailed designs and working sketches for new products and projects.
  • Calculate and analyze the basic engineering aspects of routine drafting problems, including stress, sizing, and flexibility.
  • Select materials and equipment, creating estimates and specifications for project managers.
  • Draft reports and correspondence related to product development and manufacturing.
  • Apply algebra and geometry concepts to solve design problems.
  • Create and revise CAD models and drawings using computer hardware and software.
  • Develop 2D drawings from 3D models or parts using AutoCAD and adhere to common drafting standards.
  • Update and revise 2D drawings in response to changes requested by engineers and designers.
  • Ensure drawing system integrity within the product data management system.
  • Organize and document drawing project groups.
  • Support the engineering team throughout the product development process.
  • Create manufacturing drawings from 3D SolidWorks models.
  • Manage drawing files, quality standards, and ensure accuracy with department designers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing designs and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of other 3D software applications.
  • Experience with sheet metal design is an asset.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
