About Ivy's Kitchen Vietnamese Restaurant Ltd.

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, working closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to prepare and serve high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food, including scouring pots and pans, packaging take-out food, portioning and wrapping foods, and stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
Work Environment:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure. You will also be expected to maintain a high level of attention to detail and work in a team environment.

Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with our kitchen staff and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Reliability: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and be punctual and reliable.
