Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$60,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThis part-time Support Care Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. As a member of our team, you'll provide direct personal support and care to patients, focusing on their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide hands-on care assistance with daily living activities such as ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.
- Assist with implementing care plans and documenting patient progress.
- Maintain open communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Qualifications:- A completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in long-term care or community home care settings, preferably with exposure to dementia and palliative care.
- Strong knowledge of care planning systems and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
