We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at TDOT BUILDERS GROUP LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our buildings by accurately reading blueprints, preparing layouts, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent judgement and reliability
  • Team player with strong communication skills
