Job Summary

The Director, IT Programs and Integration is a key leadership position responsible for leading major transformation programs and projects that impact the Parliament's modernization and operations. This role drives transformative change in building systems, campus connectivity, and internal transformation projects for the House of Commons and its Parliamentary Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-million-dollar transformation programs and projects that enhance the Parliament's systems and campus connectivity.
  • Position DSRP to capitalize on emerging and new technologies in support of its business agenda.
  • Build and manage relations with stakeholders, leveraging cooperation, fostering performance excellence, and resolving problems.
  • Provide leadership in governance structures, strategic planning, stewardship, and program management of DSRP projects and programs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Successful completion of a university degree in Information Technology or an acceptable combination of formal education, training, and/or experience in the relevant fields.

Experience:

  • Extensive work experience (7+ years) managing long-term projects and evaluating their impact on business operations, particularly in relation to complex building renovations, IT infrastructure, and the design requirements of parliamentary committee rooms, networks, and technologies essential for parliamentary functions.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, multi-tiered relationships with stakeholders, including clients, senior executives, vendors, and operational staff.
  • Extensive work experience (7+ years) applying program management principles and best practices, including strategic and business planning, risk and contingency management, financial oversight, human resources, asset management, and contracting services.
  • Extensive work experience (7+ years) in leading the delivery, assessment, and implementation of major IT programs.
  • Proven experience influencing and negotiating with diverse stakeholders to align competing priorities and gain consensus.

Assets:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
