Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at Canada Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our trucking fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 drivers and ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties.
  • Prepare and review reports on production and other key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operations and meet customer demands.
  • Monitor and operate signal and track switch control panels to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure drivers are up-to-date with the latest procedures and regulations.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Coordinate repairs and rentals of equipment and vehicles.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Organized and team player with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. They will be required to work under pressure and make decisions quickly to ensure the smooth operation of the trucking fleet.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Hours

The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week.
