The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of businesses. As a CDL Driver, you will collect waste from customer sites and transport it to post-collection facilities for proper disposal.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License. Class 1A preferred.

• Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.

• Ability to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards.

• Ability to demonstrate safe driving skills and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate one or more vehicle types with both automatic and standard transmission and collect solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables on a collection route.

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets, and other documentation requested by supervisor daily.

• Operate truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures.

• Follow all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions in performance of all duties.

• Maintain accurate records of services performed.

• May be needed to complete route observations on all routes on a pre-determined basis, document findings, and provide report to immediate supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance requirements for safe operation.

• Ability to control operations of equipment; maneuvering truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces.

• Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
