Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our team at Babcock International. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of inventory for our rotary wing operations, including all specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials, and equipment required for the maintenance of AW 169 rotary wing aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Source parts, materials, and tooling for aircraft as outlined in the Maintenance Policy Manual, ensuring appropriate parts documentation and use of appropriately rated Aircraft Maintenance Organizations (AMOs).
- Engage proactively with suppliers to develop and manage key relationships, including supplier performance, risk, escalation, and improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with suppliers for timeline of repairs and parts delivery, monitoring parts requests, and communicating any delays.
- Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels.
- Submit new suppliers for inclusion in the Authorized Supplier List.
- Create Purchase and Repair Orders in CAMP, the Maintenance Tracking Software.
- Work with the Procurement team to create Industrial and Financial System (IFS) Purchase Orders.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Aviation customers and stakeholders.
- Prepare appropriate reporting of KPIs, parts, and materials, as necessary to support the business unit.
- Report all safety hazards or concerns through the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Participate in all training as assigned, including but not limited to Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (a degree/diploma in a related field would be considered an asset).
- 5 years or more experience in the Aviation industry with an understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and parts certifications.
- Experience in Aviation Stores, Aviation Purchasing, or a related field.
- WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided).
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, and suppliers.
- A positive, resilient, and focused individual.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Eligible for a Reliability Clearance.
