Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for the execution of menu item production, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pre-cook, cook, and present menu items in a timely fashion, adhering to standardized recipes and quality standards.
  • Submit food product requirements for purchasing and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Prepare mise en place, including food, garnishes, sauces, and other products, to support high-volume production.
  • Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Receive and store stock, labeling and dating items as required, and rotate inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Assist with month-end inventories and attend culinary meetings as required.
  • Liaise with operational departments and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders, including guests, ownership, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; Culinary education an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive culinary experience.
  • Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal record Check.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.

Work Environment

  • Regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours.
