Job Summary

The Instructor, Northern Leadership Development Program will be responsible for planning, organizing, instructing, delivering, and evaluating educational programming for adults. This role will involve instructing courses related to the Northern Leadership Development Program, evaluating the program, liaising with the advisory committee and contract staff, and recommending changes/improvements as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver educational programming for adults
  • Instruct courses related to the Northern Leadership Development Program

  • Manage and maintain a learning environment conducive to providing high-quality education
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will typically need a Master's degree in education, organizational development, human resources, or a related field, certification in leadership coaching or training, 3 years' experience in a leadership role, and 2 years' experience working with Aboriginal governments or Northern community governance structures.

Additional Requirements
  • Completion of six weeks of full-time coursework in adult education within the first two years of employment
  • Completion of a certificate in Adult Education within five years of hire

This role will involve working with Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) to deliver educational programming that meets the needs of adults in the Northern region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering courses that align with the Northern Leadership Development Program's goals and objectives.
