Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage our accounts, maintain accurate financial records, and provide key insights to support our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee and execute all AP/AR activities, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Efficient Bookkeeping: Maintain precise financial records, ensuring all transactions are documented correctly and in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Cashflow Management: Monitor and maintain cashflows, ensuring the company's liquidity is managed effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Support the maintenance of our inventory management systems, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation of inventory.
  • Grant and Funding Applications: Provide financial support in the preparation and submission of grant and funding applications.
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with other departments and provide additional financial support as needed, contributing to the overall growth and success of Wuxly Movement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • High level of accountability
  • Valid driver's license and consistent access to a vehicle.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
