CNC Machinist

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Liburdi Turbine Services Inc. as a key member of our manufacturing department.
Key Responsibilities- Program and operate CNC machines for high-tolerance industrial and aerospace components, adhering to OEM and customer specifications.
- Develop and implement process set-up sheets and tool setup sheets for CNC machined components, ensuring efficient production workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to coordinate new machining development and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform First Article testing and NC program verification to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Set up and operate CNC milling and grinding jobs, including material handling, tool and fixture setup, and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct inspections and testing to verify part compliance with customer requirements.
- Use inspection gauges and equipment to verify and audit development and production activities.
- Assist operators with training and tasks, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Communicate with line managers on priorities and schedule requirements, ensuring seamless production workflows.
- Perform maintenance checks and minor repairs on machines as needed, notifying maintenance when repairs are required.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and perform necessary machine and program adjustments to achieve optimal performance.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized work area, adhering to 5S standards.
- College-level diploma or certification in Manufacturing Technology or CNC programming.
- Experience with CNC programming in MasterCam (3 to 5 axis) and CAD tools, with a preference for Solid Edge or Solid Works.
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification as General Machinist or equivalent is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience in CNC programming for 3-5 axis milling within a precision metal machining environment or 5+ years in a similar programming role.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
