About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Manager to join our team at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of baggage to and from aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the 'Day-of' baggage operations team, ensuring safe and secure operations at all times.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful baggage operations, including maintenance teams, IT teams, and contractors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and experience.
  • Manage and maintain situational awareness related to people, planes, and baggage flows, ensuring the integrity of baggage delivery at all times.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all GTAA policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of people management or leadership experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • 3 years' experience in an airport environment or similar, with demonstrated experience serving a large and complex customer base.
  • Valid Ontario G Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a D/A AVOP (Airside Drivers license) within 60 days of start date.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position.
