Aerospace Logistics Specialist

Job Summary:
The Aerospace Specialist is responsible for processing all shipments, coordinating movement, and monitoring while in route. This role requires handling shipments from start to finish, ensuring compliance with DSV policies and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily shipments
- Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments to airlines
- Create and coordinate country-specific documents
- Adhere to domestic and international shipping regulations
- Track and trace all shipments
- Prepare and publish reports as requested
- Proactively identify problems and implement solutions
- Confirm rates with carriers
- Responsible for cost containment of shipments via accounting system
- Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select the most cost-effective method of pickup and delivery
- Ensure DSV KPIs are met throughout the movement of the shipment
- Lane analysis required on orders to select the most appropriate mode of transport within customer requirements
- Daily communication with customers on relevant issues and resolution
- Manage new account implementation from standard operating procedure to execution
Quality, Health & Safety:
The Aerospace Specialist supports organizational commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification. Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment, and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years' experience in airfreight logistics
- Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
- Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status
- Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
- Experience in Aerospace Vertical, an asset
- CIFFA certificate, an asset

- Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively to meet goals and achieve results

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Language and Computer Skills:
- English and French proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
- Microsoft Office suite
- CargoWise experience, an asset
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer. Regular working hours apply for this position, at times, working beyond these hours may be required by business needs.
