Job Title: Agriculture Shop Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Shop Foreman to join our team at Brandt, a leading John Deere Agriculture dealership. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective supervision of our technicians to meet quality standards and productivity requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of service technicians to ensure efficient and effective repair of agricultural equipment
  • Assist in the appraisal of repair orders and participate in repairs as needed
  • Act as a point-of-contact for technicians on equipment repair inquiries and updates
  • Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems and recommend repairs
  • Inspect and repair special tools and recommend new tooling as required
  • Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training and quarterly safety meetings
  • Support service advisors by responding to technical questions from customers
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and demonstrate proper workplace processes and equipment operation

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician, Journeyman certification preferred
  • Experience in diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues on Agriculture equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with John Deere Agriculture products and competitive equipment
  • Forklift license preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, decision-making, and delegation skills
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Basic understanding of financial principles related to service department operations
