Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, determining the size of food portions and costs, and requisitioning food and kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Develop and maintain expertise in East Indian cuisine, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.

Please note that this is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
