About the Role

As a seasoned AutoCAD Designer at Konstant, you will work closely with our Design Manager to drive business success. This position involves collaborating with sales representatives to understand customer needs and develop innovative storage system solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and preparing drawings for presentation to customers, creating bills of materials for costing, and producing shop drawings for manufacturing.

This role demands strong communication and teamwork skills, requiring constant interaction with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and IT personnel to ensure successful project management. You may also be required to work beyond regular hours to meet critical project milestones.

We are seeking an individual who can interpret customer requests and convert them into design proposals that optimize warehouse space utilization. Strong analytical skills in material flow and facility layout design are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Storage System Design: Apply strong analytical skills to design proposals that creatively optimize warehouse space utilization.
  • CAD Drawings: Prepare complete and accurate presentation, installation, PSR/permit, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD 2012.
  • Costing & Quotation Preparation: Prepare detailed bills of materials and costing for moderate to large projects (materials, installation, freight, travel, project management).
  • Project Management: Coordinate with our manufacturing plants, customers, consultants, field managers, and other sub-contractors to ensure timelines are successfully met.
  • Presentation of Proposals: Participate in presenting proposals to management, customers, or consultants.
Requirements
  • A technical education (degree, diploma, certificate) in a related vocation (e.g., design, engineering, architecture), or equivalent industry experience.
  • An assertive personality, a strong work ethic, and a drive to succeed.
  • Good computer skills including a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
