About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Theatre Cashier to join our team at Capitol Cinemas Ponoka Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Front-of-House Operations: Manage cash register, process transactions, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for our patrons.
  • Ticketing and Concessions: Sell tickets, handle money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
  • Cash Handling and Security: Count daily/shift payments received, reconcile with total sales, and maintain a secure environment by monitoring entrances and exits.
  • Customer Service: Assist theatre patrons with seat selection, provide support with self-checkout, and participate in promotional activities to enhance the overall customer experience.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset but not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, team player, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Salary: $30-$40 per hour (approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year), depending on experience.
  • Benefits: Permanent full-time position with 30-40 hours of work per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
