Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our High Value Payments Engineering team globally. As a Senior Software Developer, you will contribute to the overall success of the team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of business strategies and objectives.

You will work within a cross-functional Agile team to deliver solutions for various business lines of the bank, championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

This role requires a creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated individual with good analytical skills to apply knowledge independently to resolve complex business problems. You will be involved in the full Agile systems life cycle, responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application software.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application software
  • Participating in component and data architecture design
  • Performance monitoring and product evaluation
  • Making buy vs. build recommendations

The ideal candidate will have experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies. They should also be able to communicate effectively with a software development team on tight deadlines and have extensive experience in FTM or IIB.

Familiarity with open-source DevOps tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, Docker) is an asset, as well as experience developing microservices in Java.
