Youth for Christ Winnipeg is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as the Director at Camp Cedarwood. Located at Pinawa Bay - Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, Camp Cedarwood is a ministry of YFC Winnipeg that provides youth with a camp experience rooted in the Gospel, focusing on excellence and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Provide leadership to develop and implement Camp Cedarwood ministry programs, supporting, equipping, and empowering staff and volunteers to accomplish the mission.
- Team Management: Develop and lead a team to manage the 5 key departments of the camp (Ministry, Property/Maintenance, Food Services, Hospitality, and Administration).
- Site Stewardship: Ensure the Camp Cedarwood site is properly stewarded and maintained to fulfill its purpose in accomplishing the mission.
- Leadership and Oversight: Work alongside YFC Senior leadership, giving oversight and direction to all areas of managing and overseeing the camp operations.
- Staff and Volunteer Growth: Actively work to promote and grow the staff and volunteer team at camp.
- Community Involvement: Be an active participant in the life of a local church.
- Organizational Affirmation: Affirm and support our organization's Community Covenant and Statement of Faith, and be committed to YFC's mission.
- Camp Environment: Able to live and work in a camp environment during part of the year, being flexible and patient in nature.
- Education and Experience: A post-secondary or Bible School education and a minimum of one year of ministry leadership experience would be an asset.
- Key Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
