About This Role

As a Sensory Sciences Specialist at The Cronos Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sensory analysis operations, ensuring the smooth execution of sensory studies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Sensory Recruitment and Coordination: Lead the recruitment and administrative logistics for sensory sessions, involving significant interaction with the public. This includes participant contact, participant screeners, and follow-up.
  • Sensory Study Execution: Assist sensory manager in the execution of major sensory studies, collection of data, cleaning of data and preliminary analysis. Lead the execution of minor sensory studies, collection of data, cleaning of data and preliminary analysis.
  • Administration of Records: Organize and manage all necessary records and documentation in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and readiness for Health Canada audits.
  • Informed Consent Form Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all study participants.
  • Sample Management: Receive and log incoming samples, coordinate the submission process, and manage inventory.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in coordination and/or administration roles, preferably within a sensory science or research environment.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the variable schedule of sensory sessions, which predominantly occur during evenings and weekends.
  • Cannabis Industry Experience: Cannabis industry experience is an asset.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science or related discipline preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Experience: Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Ability to conduct independent data analysis and clean-up in data analysis software solutions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with participants and team members.

We estimate this position to have a salary range between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
