Job DescriptionThe Lead Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all in-scope day-to-day and project activities are properly defined, effectively managed, deliver the expected results, and meet SCC standards and policies. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, recommending, and implementing security solutions to enhance core security capabilities in areas such as security infrastructure, access management, identity management, networking, databases, and servers.
- Deploying, integrating, and configuring new security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conducting research and gap analysis on current processes, documenting current processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and providing recommendations.
- Evaluating internal and external environments for threats and changes related to Information Security, performing as an Information Security subject matter expert to ensure these are properly addressed and controlled.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 8+ years of work experience in IT Security or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education through university or college degree in an IT-related field.
- Proven leadership abilities, effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness, and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
- Thorough knowledge of Information security principles and framework (ISO 27001, NIST, ZTNA, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in security incident investigation and resolution.
- Cyber and Technical Threat Analyses.
- Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
- Strong customer focus with ability to manage customer expectations and experience and build long-term relationships.
- Any one or more security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GIAC, SANS).
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
